Being in business for yourself is never very easy. Yes, there are the days when you can choose what you would like to do, but for the most part there is a constant uphill battle. I have yet to encounter things to be very easy, and am starting to wonder if it will ever get easier????
Some days, being an entrepreneur is really hard, some days it is the biggest blessing. I guess the idea is to keep your chin up, and never give up.
Life can be tough when as a young entrepreneur you are dealing with jaded, negative people who are mad at the world just because they have not accomplished what they wanted or are envious of someone younger or wiser achieving more they have. These people will try to bring you down and steal you energy because like the old saying goes - misery likes company. However, there are the those who see you as someone with spirit, energy, and passion(which by the way is how most elders will look at you if they are not insecure with themselves or mad at the world) and those people can be of great value to learn from or be a mentor.
I suggest to use the people who have always told you that you couldn't do it, or have tried to bring you down along the way and use them as "FUEL FOR YOUR FIRE" to propel yourself forward faster and farther!!!!
And surround yourself with those who believe in you, have same or similar core values and beliefs, and never settle for second best, because we all deserve the absolute best!
In an ever changing society, and a country where it has became the norm to go to college and get as much education as possible.... does being more "street smart" get you further in life than being "book smart"???
I want to put the quesiton out there to the Blog community, which is better in your opinion - Street Smarts, or Book Smarts and why??
Wikipedia has become another great tool in the search for answers in our high tech lifestyle. No longer do we have to order a collection of encyclopedias from the door to door salesman which costs an arm and a leg, so you just buy a volume at a time. Now, a quick Google or Wikipedia search should give you most of the answers you are looking for.
Here is a few fun facts that Wiki has on Generation Y:

What I find amazing is that "blogging" is such a relatively new thing that 95 % of people have never blogged or have no idea what a Blog is. Most spell checks engines still do not have the word Blog in them yet, either. Is blogging going to catch on with our age demographic or will it continue to just slowly catch traction??
With the evolution and rise and fall of Myspace and Facebook, there has to be new hot ways to be innovative on the web, and I believe that to be blogging. However, in my mind there is still not enough user interaction in blogspace to create a huge market and snowball. Unless you have a blog with thousands of users who look at your site daily(which would be sweet by the way), it is only as good as how much time and energy you put into it.
Personally, I am going to try to kick things up a notch with adding some sweet videos, info, etc., and anything else that will help create a larger following. If anyone else has any suggestions, feel free to let me know!
As a young serial entrepreneur, I believe that there are amazing resources coming available for us that were never there a few years ago when wanting to start a business. The beauty of the web, is that basically everything is at your fingertips, and a quick Google search will get you at least close to what you are looking for.
When i started my first company, there was no venture capitol websites, gateway websites to answer just about any question you have regarding business, other countries looking for great American talent to bring or blogs to fins out sweet info from other successful entrepreneurs giving insight to being in business. Here are a couple of examples in MN, and the USA:

So the thing of it is, myself, and I am sure there are a lot of other young entrepreneurs out there who have accumulated a lot of knowledge and now want to give it back. The time has come in our culture to stop working against each other and join up and ban together to help each other.
Honestly, I asked myself that question about a year ago when writing my first book on my generation. What he heck is this generation Y, Millennial Generation, Generation X, Z, etc.
The quickest and simplest way to describe my generation(gen y), is simply ages 18-30. That is pretty broad, and there is actually no exact definition. The cool thing is...knowing you are part of a 76 million person market in the US, which computes to roughly 25%of the population gives us a lit of buying power and leverage to be the movers and shakers in an unstable current economy and the sky as our limit for our future!!
This is a call to see how many young entrepreneurs we can get to join up on this blog in a short amount of time and show the world that we make up a massive part of the population, and are growing every day. Being an entrepreneur is not easy... your mind is constantly spinning with new ideas, the next person to contact, or just how to get all the work you have done!
I want to create a blog where we all can benefit from the vast collective knowledge of others like us in the world.
So join up, tell your friends, and email blast you contacts to get the ball rolling.......
Your Fellow Serial Entrepreneur

Recently I learned something about myself. The busier I am the more things I am able to accomlish and in addition I am also much happier. So my question is why is boredum still part of our lives when we have the ever evolving power of the web???? There are days that go buy when my entire day is spent on the web, and to be honest I am not even sure what my time was spent on?!?!!?!? Yet, it appears the moe "emails in my inbox" that need to be responded to and the more "junk" on my office desk the more productive that I am..
Why is that, and does anyone else expierence this???
In this ever changing world of the interenet is it possible to create the same connection that we can with someone face to face??? I mean, we can email, text, play live video games, or stream video live... But there are still some things that our human race will not be able to keep up with the rapid change of tech. Like the human touch, or talking with someone face to face.
There must be a combination of street smarts (common sense or "mother wit") and book smarts (general knowledge). Added to... read more
